Jcp mymoney7/11/2023 ![]() “We’re keeping our merchandise”.” I told her, “That’s not right. I verified these items inside my bag upon entering this store.” She sarcastically replied with a smirk on her face, “I’m sorry ma’am but we can’t give you the pants back”. They are sold separately.” I replied, “That’s not what the clerk said when she rung my items up Monday, April 17.” She then said, “Well I’m sorry but I can only return the jacket, but I can’t give you the pants back.” I said, “Wait a minute, you can’t keep my pants that I came in here with because of a mistake that one of your clerks made”. She came back and I asked, “What’s the problem?” She said, “Hold on a minute til I check something.” She finally came back with another identical set but different color. Withers took my phone without my permission and showed it to another clerk at the other end of the counter. She then asked, “How did you buy this?” I told her the clerk said it was a set which is how I purchased it. I found the receipt and handed her my cell phone. Withers asked for my receipt I told her that I didn’t have my physical receipt but I remembered that I save all my receipts on my cell phone. I took all the items to the clerk at the register, female black Taylor Withers. I went and located the sizes that I needed in the same color. She said OK ma’am just let them know that I did verify your bag when you came in the store. I opened my bag and showed her the two items that I was returning. When I walked in the store with my grandbaby, I was greeted by an older female black who was very nice and courteous. One of the items that I purchased was an adult matching Velour pants size medium and jacket size large set which I took back to the store on Thursday, April 27, 2023, to swap out for a different size. I purchased several items which totaled to $243.48. On Monday, April 17, 2023, I shopped at the JCPenney Store located at 7700 Polo Grounds Blvd. I have been a loyal shopper at JCPenney for many years with no issues or complaints until now. Sharon Segrest I live in Cordova, Tennessee. I could once again move around my kitchen freely. Within a week, No No No, had secured a refund from the store, enabling me to donate the glasses to charity. ![]() That's when I called No No No in desperation. The mail-man would not accept this very large carton without a return label. The carton was much too heavy to carry to the post office. If I couldn't get a return label, I'd be stuck with the enormous box of 18 glasses that had blocked a sizable portion of my small kitchen. If I couldn't give them them to the Salvation Army on the pick-up dateI was really stuck. So the glassware was not yet considered mine to legally give away. That was not helpful at all as I had scheduled a pick-up from the Salvation Army on May 11th for various household goods. My credit card co received what they considered an inappropriate response from the company but the company was given 30 days to appeal the ruling. I complained to my credit card company who contacted JCPenny. ![]() For 2 months, I tried to get the company to send me a return label from JCPenny. They appeared thin, too fragile for use, particularly around children. On 2/16/22, I ordered glassware fromJCPenney & recd them the following week.
